Original World War II Embroidered Insignia

During the heyday of the Military Surplus business in the 1970s, Mrs. Kaufman made another of her amazing finds when she purchased the entire surplus stock of Joel & Aronoff, a World War II manufacturer of U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps embroidered shoulder sleeve insignia.

The purchase included thousands of original shoulder patches in mint condition that had remained on Joel & Aronoff’s shelves since the end of the War in 1945! While a majority of this stock has been sold over the last 50 years, some of the embroidered shoulder patches remain.
